Speedway and Marathon Petroleum Scholarship

Established in 2010, this annually funded one time scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in disciplines utilized by the retail and energy industry. Recipients must be pursuing a degree with the intent of working in the energy industry with a grade point average of 3.0 or above and be eligible to work full time in the U.S. on an indefinite basis. In conjunction with the scholarship, each recipient may receive an offer of an internship for the following summer or another available break in University attendance. If none are eligible, candidates who meet all criteria with the exception of availability for an internship but has demonstrated financial need. Candidates must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if interested in this scholarship . The Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science and the Chair of the Department of Science and Mathematics in consultation with the Director of Financial Aid select recipients.
